You know browsing the news these days, you'd be forgiven for thinking half the " journalists " ( If we're so inclined to be that kind ) at corporate news outlets write their articles either on an acid trip the likes of which would make a Woodstock attendee blush, or they're one Twitter glance away from hastily guzzling down a cyanide pill.
" Rogan’s use of the N word is another January 6 moment "
Might we be honest for a moment and admit that if anyone in the street said such a thing we'd dismiss them as sheer lunatics, let alone employ them at a major national news network?
This headline was promptly changed to " Why shrugging off Joe Rogan's use of the n-word is so dangerous ". Dialling down the alarmism perhaps, yet the sentiment remains largely in tact, and if I'm being honest, it's no less stupid sounding either way.
What would give you a hearty chuckle, is the articles content remained entirely unchanged. That probably says a lot about our collective attention span as a society when the tussle is over the title and not the contents of the article, which I can assure you is as likely to make you cock your eyebrow in much the same manner as the headline would.
It's probably a well known narrative by now, we're in chapter four I think: The story of the desperate attempts by the failing miserably CNN to cancel independent martial arts comedian, one Mr Joe Rogan. You'd think these people instead of trying to deplatform Rogan, would bother to report actual news, seeing as they boast about having a small army of media analysts combing through the current events like gold mining dwarves. Alas their failing business model proves not only the lack of creativity of the staff, but represents the outdated technology is on it's way out.
What I find so perplexing and I'll be the first to admit my noggin is stumped by this, is why it's CNN of all places that's harping on Rogan so much. Perhaps it's because in spite of their grossly laughable incompetence as a news outlet, they're still the ones that appear to be most reputable. Considering how awful they are ( and frankly, every other corporate outlet as well ), that is quite a depressing realisation about the state of news in modern day society.
What raises questions even further was the potential acquisition of companies surrounding the ousting of former CNN president Jeff Zucker. The move valued at 43 Billion, the merging of Discovery and WarnerMedia ( of which CNN is a part of ), was said to be potentially spooked by the revelations of the personal office affairs of Zucker. Neither CEO of WarnerMedia, Jason Killar, nor CEO of AT&T ( who owns WarnerMedia ) John Stankey said the behaviour is appropriate, and so Zucker was in a sense, strong armed into a resignation from his position as president of CNN. The merger move has since been given the green light.
What few whisper have permeated through the closed doors of CNN, give an impression that a shake up of staff might be on the horizon for the failing network, in an attempt to re-establish themselves as an actual news organisation, seeing as they can no longer leech off of Trumps every move as they have done since 2016. This move amusingly has earned the ire of a few of the activists.. oh sorry " journalists " at the network, as this move might hamstring their ability to continue acting as a mere propaganda arm of the state, peddling the messages of the Democrat party apparatus. How sad for them. I imagine whatever interim staff they have operating in Zuckers absence in the mean time will continue to toe his line. One can hardly imagine a rebranding shake up after reading " Rogan’s use of the N word is another January 6 moment " as a headline.
Reading pass the headline though, will leave you with an image of a news room filled with strung out drug addicts, deluding themselves into thinking that if they could somehow knock Rogan off of Spotify, that that would divert eyes back onto CNN. Someone should tell them he was doing his podcast during the Trump era and that did not affect their ratings, so thinking the removal of Rogan is somehow going to benefit them ( or any mainstream media outlet for that matter ), and is going to restore them to whatever former glory resides only in their own minds, is not conducive to reality in the slightest. Not to mention Joe Rogan would have a new platform likely within mere hours. Rumble anyone?
Drug addicts though are not exactly known for thinking outside the box, and so their current trajectory is still to try and push for the ousting of Rogan, though admittedly their their latest effort is a different spin, yet one that will inevitably fail like everything else they've tried to do.
Their latest move pulled from their bag of tricks is to chastise the public for not being outraged at their pathetically transparent race baiting, calling into question the morality of the American population.
One would imagine a news organisation that's been plagued with sexual deviancy of all sorts aren't exactly prime candidates for the arbiters of morality. Then again we're talking about the left. Words like irony and hypocrisy does not exist in their lexicon, and hence why we shan't be all that surprised. Still, after a loss of over 75% of it's audience since Trump left the White House, we can at least take solace in the fact that no one cares enough to listen to what CNN has to say anyway.
They claim Rogan breached a civic of norm of American society that's held it together since the second world war, an unspoken agreement that no white person shall say the n word without escaping punishment.
Pardon my crassness, but the words that immediately came to mind were " what fucking idiot wrote this? ". It's been over half a century since the second world war! We've gone through multiple social shifts and will continue to do so. Not to mention we have the internet. We have scores of examples across decades of people saying that word for comedic effect that not only drew no ire from anyone, but laughter, for in the past we were not as pathetically thin skinned and sensitive as we are now, nor were we saturated with a victimisation culture. ( Or if we were, invoking it was not a potent scheme for lucrative financial gain ). If that is in fact an " unspoken agreement ", it's sailed merrily over the authors head that without some sort of political driven agenda, that said agreement has no teeth whatsoever.
I recall several years ago Youtuber Pewdiepie said the N word on a live stream. True he lost a show and a sponsor or two, but in the grand scheme of things he escaped the mob largely unscathed. I remember the moment going vital. Scores of content creators flooded Youtube giving their two cents on the story, their takes being as predictable as the tides if you were familiar with their political leanings etc etc. Perusing the comment section and catching a glimpse at the pathetic faux pearl clutching however, my take on the situation was more aimed at the fickleness of the mob.
Having seen this pattern before many a time, I knew exactly how this situation would pan out. These people would vocalise their supposed displeasure at the act, profess their moral superiority, how they will immediately unsubscribe from Pewdiepie and the usual self righteous smugness you'd see from these posturing plebs. Then within about 2 or 3 days this story will dissipate from the news cycle, something else will replace it and catch their attention, and they will resume watching Pewdiepie as if nothing happened! Low and behold if that didn’t pan out precisely as predicted. Pewdiepie actually gained subscribers from the episode.
But getting back to Rogan, everyone who's been paying attention to him knows this is just another cheap attempt by the mainstream to silence the man. None of it has phased him thus far and so the corporate press went full ham with the compilation as a sort of red button Hail Mary moment. An act of sheer desperation as all of the previous attempts has shown the outrage power has started to wane, or perhaps the Rogan phenomenon is much too powerful of a leviathan to be taken down by the petty toothpicks levelled at him by the likes of the Twitterati.
The main culprit behind this though is the white liberal, who have a rather hostage like relationship with blacks. White liberals look at black people like their pets, like they're dancing circus monkeys. An N word controversy will be dangled in front of them in the hopes of evoking what would be predictable outrage, which in turn will be milked for every last ounce of political power and used to silence someone the white liberal hive mind disagrees with. Glancing at Twitter, one will find a litany of examples plastered all over it of democrat supporters saying that word, none which gets any press coverage, so this outrage is purely performative. It serves political purposes exclusively. There is absolutely no morality behind this at all.
But there's an interesting observation with the elites, and this is just my perspective, and so my apologies if this carries a tinge of conspiracy. I'm sure many of the political junkies, and those who are inquisitive enough to think on these sort of things, would agree that the elites of this planet orchestrate and prop up certain events (January 6th), fund both sides (Russia and Ukraine) prop up groups (BLM), infiltrate others, splinter and shatter them into the winds (or lately, unsuccessfully try to, say the Truckers for example) and use all of this in conjunction with the corporate press to form a narrative for the public to consume in order to shape public opinion, at least loosely anyway. They view humanity as pawns on the chess board, mere blocks of wood one can move at ones leisure or convenience.
However, it would seem we're at a sort of unknown impasse. I have my own hypothesis as to why. From my perspective, it would seem the elites vastly overestimate the greatly diminishing and waning power their old mechanisms currently have, yet also on the flip side greatly underestimate the power Joe Rogan presently wields.
My most educated guess is because of age. The elites are all pretty old, having spent lifetimes refining the old corporate outlets into a recognisable brand, and so established them with a reputation that the new faster technology don't quite have yet, at least to them anyway. It does appear though, this being a product of generations that their old machine’s advantage is diminishing rapidly, and the new technology is starting to pull ahead it break neck speed.
It would seem the elites being old and hence increasingly unlikely to interface or even bother with trying to understand new technology, find themselves in a precarious position, one where they still foolishly cling to the idea that their old world reputation will carry them to victory. This isn't going to happen. Their hand has been overplayed and the new technology renders them impotent, or at the very least severely debilitated in their endeavours. The sturdiness of the age old built reputation is being displaced by the sheer speed of information sharing capability.
You can see they've tried to create a sort of Frankenstein tessellation of the old reputable news sources and the newly emerging technologies, but this has one major problem. The people on the social media platforms, while they may be numerous, they are international. Whilst their figures alone may seem impressive, they represent but a mere fraction of the population overall. The other thing is, the producing users vastly outnumber the passive users. Something like over 90% of the traffic is generated by less than 10% of the user base, so the silent majority of even the social media window is not represented here, never mind the real world, and if you use this as a means to finger the pulse of the real world, you're not remotely clued into majority public opinion.
The diminishing viewing figures and fast losing credibility of their once mighty news empires seems have left them scrambled. It's appears, the elite being narcissistic and arrogant, believed their rule to be one that can't be challenged, and that a back up plan therefore, isn't necessary. As such no matter how much the sure footedness they once enjoyed has slipped, no matter how laughably insane their narratives have begun to sound, the corporate press seem to still be hell bent on following through with them regardless.
If that CNN headline is anything to go by, it has the amusing quality of making their journalistic pieces look like the ramblings of a deranged lunatic, the act of a desperate fool trying to cling to old power. Their reign grows thin.. and they know it.
Power Word: Trigger.
